Best practice for partitioning for RHEL installation
 
I am new to redhat but am wondering whats the recommended way of partitioning a harddisk for redhat installation.. care to give a pointer or 2?

Well, here is the way *I* partition my disk, why and how:

But if you installed RHEL, then probably it is for a company server, else you'd probably have chosen Mandriva (was: Mandrake) or Fedora instead. Anyway, if it is for a company server, then *don't* do as I do, because such servers are more secure with more partitions (I explain why on my page).
