Best Podcatcher for Linpus Linux (Acer Aspire One)
Greetings,
I am totally new to Linux and new to the Acer Aspre one (Linpus Lenux, 512MB, 8gb). I plan on using this netbook primarily for surfing, email, listening/viewing podcasts OFFLINE.. AND learning about Linux.
I've been using the AA1 for a few days and am very pleased with it... except that I cannot figure out which podcatcher to install.
Is there anybody out there that is using Linpus that has successfully installed a podcatcher? Linpus has a RSS reader and that works fine but --as far as I have been able to figure out-- does not allow one to download podcasts.
Is there any podcatcher that is easy to install on Linpus (Fedora)?
On my Dell, I am currently using iTunes. I really don't want to install iTunes on AA1 since it's such a resources hog.
P.S. I posted this same/similar question at Acer Aspire One User Forum on 11/28 but have received only one reply stating that they too are having podcatching difficulties. (I know that one should not post the same question on different newsgroups.)
I was unable to install Miro. After trying -unsuccessfully- to install various podcatchers, I was finally able to install one that seems to meet my needs: gpodder. It installed with no problem. Thanks to all that replied.
