Best places to get free linux software???

Can you guys recommend some good places to get free Linux software. I'm running rh9.

Also, I need the following software so if you have a package you like really well can you recommend it to me?

IRC
FTP Client
Network Scanning software
Photo Editing software like Photoshop
SSH

search with <specific_program>+linux.for eg. IRC+linux.it is the fastest way to get results.if you cant find a particular software,then post it in the forum

I agree with nephilim....http://freshmeat.net is awesome.

I personally like the CLI but I will try to include GUI apps as well.

* gFTP (GUI)
* NCFTP (CLI)

Network Scanning software
* nmap (CLI) - This is the defacto network scanner IMO. You may find some apps which couple a GUI to it on freshmeat.

Photo Editing software like Photoshop
* GIMP

SSH
* errr... $~ ssh.
