Best overall livecd ?

Hey dudes !

Just to confirm, now im using the Slax, who make my life happy, because are very easily to rebuild with our package necessarily purpose !

What you guys are using ?

Since I use live systems only for rescue purposes I am fine with RIP Linux.

I prefer PuppyLinux; SlackoPup (5.3.3) is as good as any, IMHO. http://puppylinux.org/wikka/Puppy533

I really like Slax. Though it looked a bit shaky as to whether or not it would continue until recently.

Mostly use System Rescue CD though as I appear to like nothing better than breaking my computer and then trying to fix it again.

I always try to keep 20 or so. I keep very old knoppix for older systems. Many of the opensuse and suse for systems with raid cards. I keep a lot of bootable usb flash and usb hard drives too.

You get to where you know the disks and the types of systems they run on and the tools they have.

I even use LPS but I modified it a bunch for my liking.

I don't use live CDs on a regular basis any longer. In the past I loved Knoppix.

In my opinion you are already using the best live distro: slax
Anyway when we talk about which linux distro use (live or not) always depends from many things.

If you want do some experiments try here
