hi rajesh, Try with Fedora6. If your system is slow then move to Fedora4. That will be better.

Recommending old and unsupported distributions isn't a good idea, even for older hardware. Fedora 6 is 2 years old, that is ancient in the Linux world, many, many changes that improve usability, stability and security have been made since then.

I would recommend something like Zenwalk, Mepis, Puppy or Xubuntu.

Slackware based distros run on very old machine (P-MMX) quite good. But I will recommend you either to try VectorLinux Lite or Zenwalk. Both are Slackware based distros with LXDE/XFCE and are really fast on older machines, specially with 128M ram.
I personally used VectroLinux Lite on my friend's PI-MMX with 128M ram and we both are very happy with the performance.

try dreamlinux - please say whether it was nice or not.

Dreamlinux is really good. but 3.1 Installer is a bit buggy, neverthless a very nice OS X Clone and overall a good distro :). but I think it will be a bit heavy for him with 128M ... what say?

If it is a good P3 processor, DreamLinux or VectorLinux should manage to run well (with swap ~300 MB). ZenWalk is a good choice too
