Question Best Linux distro for iMotion tablet - rotating pictures

I got an iMotion tablet with stylus a few years ago that had a WinXP install on it. I'd like to mount it on the wall of my house and install a Linux distro on it, as well as upload some of my favorite pictures to have it rotate through them.

Any recommendations on which distro to use, and what sort of applications to install?

the best linux distro for that particular application will be a series of debate. It will still depends on the type of hardware you use to bring out the good performance or good processing that you want. anyway, choose a distro that your familiar and comfortable with. I can't recommend any good program for that function, you can google and if available package available is only from a certain package let say RPM, then install an RPM based distro like centos, rhel or fedora. if it's a tarball file or a source file then you have plenty of distro to choose from
BTW,you can try freshmeat or sourceforge to search for that apps.
