I recently purchased a Dell Vostro 1000 and, I haven't had any problems with it, yet.

However, I run Debian, which required a bit of extra work. One thing to note: When I hear "RedHat" I think of the RedHat Linux that finished off at version 9, before becoming Fedora. If you're using RedHat Enterprise, please refer to the distro as "RHEL [version#]". :)

I have both Redhat Enterprise Linux 4 and 5..after you installed on ur dell vostro no need of extra work to get connected using dialup connection?

CentOS

Do not forget CentOS, which consists of the same binaries as Red Hat Enterprise Linux and is rebranded to avoid conflict with Red Hat Enterprise Linux. And, CentOS is free.

Fedora is RPM-based, but they support each individual release a shorter length of time. Fedora is also free.
