best,efficient open source inventory software for computer related hardware material

i want best,efficient open source inventory software for making inventory of servers and desktop related materials and networking components also material issued in linux operating system with good documentation,should be less complicated and can be changed also using scripting

Really depends on what you plan to do with it..
Just inventory..
inventory, monitor & notify
change tracking..
