Best Distro for Server

Hi,
I am currently running Suse 9.2 Live. I am having trobule setting up a network, but thats another story. My question is what would be the best distrobution of linux to use for a file server. It main purpose will be to share files, share a printer, http, ft, e-mail and VPN server. Also i would like the distro that is free......if im not mistaken, they all are.

Also, can some please post a link as to where i can download the recommended disto.

Thank you in advance.

please read our review site for opinions on various distros. this question is asked EVERY day, and no one seems to take a few minutes to look at the other questions.

Heh - mate, you've been here for SO many years and
still haven't realised that we're just a slightly more efficient
AI tool than google ;) ... people type a slightly more verbose
query than they would on google and let us do the intelligent
filter thing ;) ... most people who come here don't want to
learn, they want a solution, and they want it NOW. :)

That said: Slackware has to be the best for all purposes ;)

Cheers,
Tink
