Exclamation Best Desktop ?


im converting from windows to linux

i just want help choosing something

for newbie what is best , im between opensuse and linux mint

desktop environment , KDE , GNOME or XFCE ?

which is best for newbie that just converted to linux ?

It totally depends on how u want it to be ,, answer these questions as you want your linux to be ,, you will get a list of linux accordingly.

For a person used to windows, I guess KDE is the one that looks the most like the MS GUI, but I personally prefer Gnome or Fluxbox. LXDE has also become a great alternative, since it both fast and versatile, I kind of look at it at a middle thing between KDE and Fluxbox.

If you have a fast/new machine, I'd go with Gnome or KDE, if you have a rather old computer, I'd go with LXDE.
