belkin router mandrake problems
hi-
i've recently made the move over to linux (well half a move at the moment, after getting p*ssed off with virii, spyware, badly thought out design etc.() however i cant get onto the net though my router at present i have a belkin router and i've attempted to config it using the automatic mandrake internet config utility but to no avail. i'm running mandrake 9.2. is there a way that i can specify the IP address that mandrake uses to connect to the net? many thanks in advanced, dom |
is the nic up and functioning? issue
ifconfig -a and route -n post the results. are you using dhcp from the router? are there any firewalls involved? what type of connection to the net does the router have, cable modem, etc.? good luck. |
