Belkin F5D7000 Mandrake 10.1

I checked the similar thread thing to se if this uestion was gonna be posted, didn't say anything but i know there probably is one out and i have seen them it's just. I'm a total n00b when it comes to linux but i have gotten so fed up with Windows i want to switch to linux. ONly thing is i know nothing. Now the only thing i reall ywant to know is how to get my belkin wireless router F5D7000 to work. i have looked around i found ndiswrapper and i downloaded it and put it on my USB Mass storage device but when i get into mandrake i don't know what to do. So if someone could tell me in a simple way a n00b like me could understand (remember i don't know anything so pretty much a step by step help thing would work) i would greatly appretiate that.

SO,

Your wireless network card in your PC wasn't initially recognized when you installed linux?
And no driver was available for your card in linux, which meant you needed to get ndiswrapper so that you could use your windows driver?

It would be helpful if you posted what distro you are using, and what steps you had taken to try to get the card to work.

The distro is Mandrake 10.1 community and i haven't taken any steps for ndiswrapper cause i don't get how to use it as i am a complete n00b at linux.

Are you using a desktop or a laptop? Which network card are you using? Does your network card light up when you boot madrake?

ok i'm using a desktop. the router is Belkin F5D7000. it doesn't light up because there is no light for it to light up.
