Beginning to print
 

I am a real Newbie to LINUX, so please be patient.

I am using Slackware 9.1. Up to now I managed to master the graphic card, the sound card and the modem.
I am tackling the problem of configuring my printer, but I am at a loss because I don't find any reference or instruction even for starting.

Any hint about a reference that could guide me step by step in the process?

I am trying to abandon windows, but it is so difficult... Please help me!

Look for CUPS(Common Unix Printing System). If you are in a terminal type whereis cups to find the location. In a gui, check under system settings or system tools. Hope this helps.
