Begin using PHP SOAP

I have installed the package php5-soap-5.2.5-9.5. I am trying to figure out what else I need to do to begin using it and ways to verify it is "enabled".

I installed the soap package and restarted apache2 (/etc/init.d/apache2 restart). SOAP is now enabled and shows up on phpinfo. Programmer tested with simple program.
