PLEASE HELP!!!!!
I have looked everywhere that I can think of for advice on this. I recently installed Red Hat 7.0 on my system (would like to use the ata100 port on my abit but I will figure that out later :)) I usually have trouble installing it and it always happens towards the end of the installation but this time it just passed by the error message and continued onto X config. But anyways, the problem I am having is my usb mouse won't work in X. When I boot it says that it is initializing usb and then the usb mouse, so it looks like it knows it is there but I don't know the protocal to put in XF86Config. Right now it has IMPS/2. This seems like such a basic problem that I can't find any help on it. Please tell me what to do to fix this. |
check your bios
Check your bios settings for USB mouse and keyboard support
I don't know what its for, but my bios has a special setting with USB mouse turned OFF, and the mouse still works in Windows. I don't use my USB mouse because I am using a KVM switch. |
