Basic Kernel Question
Hi,
in usr.src there are 2 files : linux and linux-2.4.21-0.13mdk What is the difference between these 2 as the contents are the same? When adding eg apm support I am told to configure usr/src/linux only and do all the "make" stuff here. Also is this common for all distros or just Mandrake. Thanks in advance |
they will be the same directory, just with a different name. try...
ls /usr/src and you should see "linux -> linux-2.4.20" and the instructions are for everyone, not just mandrake. |
actually, it's ls -l /usr/src :)
