Basic help with Linux Bluebird 8.2

:study: I am new to Linux. I have a 20 gig hard drive with Windows xppro. and Linux Bluebird 8.2 I also have a 40 gig hard drive with just data on it, so the OS have plenty of room to operate. I have an Athlon Amd 1600xp processor. When the guru built my new pc in Oct, he installed these 2 os. on it. I did not get any cds nor manuals with either system. I can handle windows ok. I am trying to start using Linux. Problem: It locked up and I couldn't get it to move, so I rebooted. I now get the reboot password prompt. I don't know what the password is. How do I get into Linux from here?

Also, where can I get manuals to help me learn the system?
The guru has moved to another state.

I want to know how to use the system, and install printers, etc. I also need to know how to set up for the internet.

I also would like to know where to get boot floppies, and recovery discs.

Thanks, macke1959:cool:

If you've forgotten the password that'll suck. If one isn't created yet then try just hitting enter. I don't know anything about Bluebird, but as far as finding info specific to your distro, the best place to go is thier website and start reading all of thier faqs and howtos.
