Basic difference between / (slash) and /root (slash root) ?

hi,

what is the basic difference between '/' (slash) and /root ?

as per my knowledge is concerned '/' (slash) is the root user and /root (slash root) is the home directory for the root user.

/ is the root of all directories (all directories are located under / and / is located under no other directory).
/root is (probably) the home of the root user and is located under /.
