Question .bashrc ?


hi

i need to make an alias so im wondering where i can find the .bashrc

its not in my home directory

can it be as simple as opening up a text editor and type in my alias and save it as .bashrc in my home dir?

yes that is it ... exactly what you said ...
alot of the times these dot files do not exist ...
and you do what you have said, and just fire up a text editor, type whatever it is you want, and simply save the file as .bashrc ...
