bash: syntax error unexpected «INSTALLATION_SUFFIX_32»


Hello!
Can not add new variable for cmake using set in ubuntu terminal.
I've got an error: bash: syntax error unexpected «INSTALLATION_SUFFIX_32»
googled, nothing helped.
tried to change dash/bash using dpkg-reconfigure dash - no result.

in Bash, setting env variable is as simple as
Code:
INSTALLATION_SUFFIX_32=/lib/i386-linux-gnu cmake
Or
Code:
export INSTALLATION_SUFFIX_32=/lib/i386-linux-gnu
cmake

you never showed us the command that created the error...

that was an overreaction. i hope you undid that properly.

really not expected so quick and qualified help for the novice - great forum

solved it yesterday by edit CMakeLists.txt

sudo dpkg-reconfigure dash and choose answer "no" -
