bash.exe command

Hi All,

Can anybody plz. tell me about bash.exe command.
Is it a command? What purpose we use it?
I ve go through the MAN page of bash. but i couldnt
find bash.exe

bash is the Bourne-again shell - a terminal, command line, the place where stuff gets done. Read up on it here:

To answer your specific question, the bash executable usually lives at /bin/bash (no extension... that's a windoze thing). You can find out where your bash executable is by using the which bash command.

there no such thing as an EXE file in linux. as described by puffinman bash is shell, a terminal, u can type ur command there.

In linux u can name executable as myprog.txt & still execute it. .EXE files have no meaning in linux.
