BaseDN is empty
Hi All
Digging into linux (I like) I have a problem: I tried to alter the slapd.conf file and add more ip's that could access, at least that was the idea. However I got error messages when restarting lapd - So I took the backup file and renamed it to slapd.conf, after deleting my experiment. But now I cant access localhost, I get BaseDn is empty. -- Did I use a wrong editor? (I got odd error messages saying a line had error, and the line showed something else than the offending command (by). I was trying to add the last line of this: # Define global ACLs to disable default read access. access to * by peername="ip=127\.0\..*\..*" read by peername="ip=192\.168\.0\.100" read -- Did the errors ruin my ldap? I know this isnt much to go by, but i appreciate any help? C. Gull |
Unlikely to be this perhaps but did you alter ownership or permissions of the file when you origionally backed it up. Remote possibility this might be the problem.
