backtrak 4 problem?


hi, i just instaled bt4 on my hdd and i have a problem with instaling drivers... i cant find and istall driver for my video card nvidia 8200 integrated on motherboard. exacly i got the problem with changeing video resolution... i have only 640x480 and 800x600, and here is the problem, i cant put it in 1024x768... plz help me. i am beginer at linux.

If you're a 'beginer at linux', backtrack most likely isn't the distro you want to run. Install Ubuntu.

and if all else fails, google. (actually you're better off starting with google )
Other good beginner distros (short for 'distribution': different 'flavors' of linux): linuxmint, mepis, openSUSE, ad infinitum (almost). There are literally thousands of different linux distros out there; everyone has their favorites. Backtrack is a distro designed specifically for forensics and penetration testing of systems and networks (and therefore tends to lend itself more to advanced users). Try one of the more beginner-friendly versions first; pick one and have fun!

i dont need another os, i just ask to someone helps me to instal drivers and change rosolutions... but i didnt got the tutorial ...
