That should tell you. A bigger partition, or a bigger hard drive.

Hi,

this is in response to the other thread on this topic. Please do not open multiple threads on the same topic. I will not post on that thread again.

Actually my question is
"how to increase base memory or what should I do because for example: if I want to create a 1GB file Backtrack unable to create that with an error LOW Disc space?"

Ok, so this has nothing to do with memory. If you are running out of disk space, then either delete some unneeded files or install another (or a larger) disk.

Maybe if you stayed on topic it wouldn't be so difficult?

Solution:
- Download Kali Linux and use its installer to install it to the harddisk. Backtrack is not supported anymore and you will run into all kinds of problems with it.
Once you have installed it to the disk the wordlist you want to generate will be writen to disk, not to RAM (which it does when you run it as Live system), so the size of the wordlist is only limited by the size of the partition.

Two different threads on the same subject have been merged here. @backtracklinux: please, keep the discussion in one place and take in mind that if you want to add further information you can edit your own posts (see the EDIT button in the lower-right corner of your post) or post a follow-up into your own thread.
