BackTrack

Hey Everyone,

I was wondering everyones thoughts on BackTrack. I am going to install it as my single OS on my laptop tonight when i get home from the gym and i was wondering if i should install backtrack 2 or 3 Final. I have had some problems installing BackTrack 3 final, but I think i have a solution. I was just wondering from people who know both Distros, wich was one better for a HD install?

thanks!

I had BT3 (some beta, I think) on my wlancracker laptop as the only OS for a while. I never had any problems with it. That's all I can say, just a distro focusing on security and paying very little attention to other stuff.

They removed the installer from BT3. It is possible to install it though. I followed these instructions when I did it when I was on a wlan security kick:

You need to do it from a host system (a running linux environment). The instructions assume basic knowledge of partitioning and I guess are written for the more intermediate crowd. I hope this helps.
