Unhappy backtrack 4 beta konsol problems

are there any requirements for backtrack 4 beta because with konsole anything related to wireless internet doesn't work(e.g.airmon-ng, airodump-ng ) but when i open firefox it opens perfectly **note i'm running this using virtual machine and virtual machine image of backtrack 4beta from i heard something about special network or wireless cards??

You have to put the wireless card into monitor mode first.

thanks but i looked more into it ithink i need some drivers so that backtrack can read the wireless card but thanks ill try that
