Back-Up
Hello to everyone
I want to backup my entire Rhel system, most important is the structure of system files (data is saved over an external disk) . These are my issues : 1. Back up the main structure of the system ( /etc/ /bin/ [...] ) , data will be saved over an external disk. 2. If i will change my devices how can I recover my LVM structure? Shall I do it again? 3. How can i recover the proper structure once i installed again my Rhel system? I guess not should be a copy and paste only. So, how i could backup for example my /etc folder ? 4. If i change my hardware configuration how it will be affected my Rhel System? Thank you for now though i guess it will be a long question.. |
Hi there,
It's a little unclear to me what you are trying to achieve. Why do you want to reinstall - are you moving to new hardware? Have a look at http://clonezilla.org/ - that may help you. Regards, Clifford |
It's a precaution issue, furthermore, i will switch from red hat to centOs , morover my data is important to me and i want to have a regular backup well organized
