bt5 release 1 !!!!!
i take it you did not know that the VERY LAST BT 5 was
BT 5 rc3
and that is dead and unsupported
it was based on the old and UNSUPPORTED Ubuntu 10
--- DO NOT USE !!!! ---

bt5 rc3 is unsupported and was replaced with a new OS last year
KALI

but kali lake it's predecessor Backtrack5 , was designed to be used BY network SECURITY EXPERTS .

if you can not install a wireless driver all on your OWN , then you likely should not be using kali or the unsupported backtrack 5
