avi to ogm

Hey people I am running ubuntu and I was wonding how do I convert my .avi files to .ogm if that is possible, I tried avidemux but that doesnt seem to work or im doing it wrong, because the reencode only seem to take a couple of seconds and still registers as xvid if I can do it with a GUI that would be great since I have a lot of anime files

Why are you attempting such a conversion? avi and ogm are just containers. If you have XviD in the avi then it is going to be XviD in the ogm too.
