avermedia tv in mint?


hello to everyone, since it's my first steps in the open source community i could use a little help, i don't know how to install the avermedia application to watch tv in linux mint, any ideas? should i use the apt feature, synaptics, could automatix do it? or what else, thank's in advance.

little more info what distro what kernel what video card etc.

Smile usb tv card

Avermedia tv card usb hybrid + fm volar ( analog-digital tv & radio ) and the distro is linux mint daryna, i am not sure though if it's gnome or kde.
The application is <<aver tv 6.0>>, you think you can help me? does linux support an external tv card installation?
