autostart programs under xfce 4.2
 
hi,
I'am quite new to xfce and simply want to now how I can start programs on startup.
I use Slackware 10.1 and xfce 4.2.0

you may need to create a small script with the path of program u want to run on /etc/rc.local or other dirs.

If you mean to start a program when xfce starts, start up the programs, log out of xfce and be sure it is saving your current settings, and then when you log on again, the programs should start up as well.

For example, if you want gkrellm to start, get it going from the "run" command, leave it running, log out (saving settings) and log back in again.

ok, I tried it and it works. But where do xfce save his settings about what to start, because if I leave and eg. xmms is open. It starts also on next start but I cant find a entry in the rc.local so where do xfce save the programs which should be started on login/start ?
