Automatic startup of Ventrilo Server Fedora 12
G'day
I'm looking for a way to automatically startup Ventrilo when my linuxbox restarts. At the moment I have to manually start it up. I know there is a way and I've tried to follow other threads but I can't seem to find a tutorial on how to do this with the Fedora 12 distro. Any help or redirection will be gladly appreciated Thankyou Steve |
Hi,
Try : Code:
chkconfig --add ventrilo |
unfortunately doesn't work
comes with error: error reading information on service ventrilo_srv: No such file or directory also tried just ventrilo the way to run the program manually is to ./etc/ventsrv/ventrilo_srv any other thoughts |
Ha
I found it... after much tedious searching... (have a broken elbow so about 10% movement from left arm) check this out... very simple and goodhombre you were on the right track... http://forum.ventrilo.com/showthread.php?t=35557 its working great now... |
also telx85 be advised
Fedora 12 is PAST it's end of life there will NEVER be any security updates ever no new security fixes . no nothing . |
yes I am aware...
thankyou |
