autoconnecting to internet when using mozilla
I have justinstalled red hat 9 and all sems well so far Had a few problems with my internal generic softK modem but i found the drivers and that is all sorted. I am online now and want to set up a few things for convenience.
1) I would like to set up mozzila so it asks me whether i want to connect or not when i launch it (just like Internet explorer does if u are offline when u start it up) how do i do this??? 2) I have been trying to get my windows drive to automatically mount by editing /etc/fstab but every time i try i get a message saying bad fstab file when i am booting up. I can mount the drive manually without any problems but would like to automate it. Any help would be much appreciated. Muffamatician |
well i cant help you with the mozilla thing .. since i am also a newbie but here is wht i know about mounting ..
you have to make changes in \etc\fstab to automatically mount the drive everytime you start now forexample if you have a cdrive . in fat32 and you want to mount that then you will write this in fstab /dev/hda1 /cdrive (place where you want to mount ) vfat defaults 0 0 this is the simplest way to mount a windows drive |
