auditd No buffer space available

when running a script to rotate audit logs, get 2 messages regarding No buffer space available "netlink" and "info". Only started getting messages post YUM udate processing and Auditd recycled.
Tried increasing buffer space and backlog value to no avail

Messages issued:
auditd(pid no): Error receiving audit netlink packet (No buffer space available)
auditd(pid no): Error sending signal_info request(No buffer space available)

Searches have found similar issues dated 2009, and have applied suggested resolutions, but still have issue.

Please do not post approximations but post exact error messages please.
Besides why would you rotate audit logs when auditd takes care of rotating logs itself?..
