Question audio cds problem


Hell0./

I'm having probs getting audio cds to run properly using any type of cd player + songs only play for a few seconds then stop _
what the ??!!/

cdrom is mounted/
sndconfig is fine/

running red-hat 7.1

You dont mount an audio CD, only a data CD

so_anyway...

I'm wondering if I have to change permissions for ....
still can't hear audio for more than 2 seconds...maybe re-install some packages ??
excuse my newbie ignorance...and I'm totally drunk now...

if you can hear sound for a few seconds and then nothing, it might be a driver problem. what soundcard are you using?

I'm using a Soundblaster Live value_

sndconfig worked_ I could hear the sample

I've set audio cds to play automatically_


??/
