Audio CD problems
I'm using the latest FC3 distro. After fooling around for a while, I finally have everything the way it should be (at least I think). My problem is being able to play audio cd's on /dev/hdc as a regular user. While I've read all over about this problem... mine goes further. When I use
Code:
chmod 777 /dev/hdc The Problem: Whenever I restart my computer and logon as a user... I lose access to /dev/hdc for audio cd's. I have to use chmod again to get it back. I'm at least happy that I have a solution to play audio cd's... but how can I do this without having to use chmod each time? I checked the man, but that didn't help. Any additional info you need, please let me know. Thanks in advance! -:newbie: |

Thanks for the reply. After I read that, it reminded me about something I read about updating udev after installing FC3. I just updated it, and restarted my computer and it works. :D Thanks for the link!:)
