I don't understand the question. Do you want to play two sessions of Mplayer simultaneously, for example from two sources, or do you ask if it is possable to have several players, Mplayer,vlc, kaffeine, installed at the same time. I believe there are mixing and sampling programs that combine sources. The sound card will play what it's fed. I have had two feeds of an audio stream start, giving sound with an echo.
