Exclamation Audigy 2 ZS and on-board audio (Mandriva w/ Gnome)

I'm having difficulties having sound to work properly on Mandriva. My audio card is properly displaying as Audigy 2 ZS, however there is no sound coming through. When I open the mixer and click the "Audigy Analog/Digital Output Jack" the option box is selected by default. Here's the kicker; when I deselect the option I can hear myself through my microphone. When I came across this issue (which I have come across many times in Windows), I thought great, just mute my microphone and I should be able to hear sound - wrong. I'm not sure what is wrong, other than a possible conflict between my onboard sound and my sound card. Needless to say, my sound works just fine in Windows. If anyone could offer any help, it would be much appreciated.

I have KDE so hopefully what little I offer can help. In Mandriva 2009 I use EMU10K1 driver. Enable pulse, auto rooting, user switching, no 5.1 stuff.
If you got this set up and nothing still, try muting stuff you don't have in mixer, pcm and main need to be used.

I didn't actually check sound when I last posted as it worked previously. But came back to find I had no sound also. I enabled that channel (Audigy Analog/Digital Output Jack) in the mixer so it showed up, then I muted it and got sound.
