Unhappy Attempting to load postfix---Danger Will Robinson!!!

Hello all,
I am a real newbie to Linux and have been given the task of creating an e-mail server for my company. I loaded a Red Hat 7.3 last week and have been banging away on it steadily. It has been a real steep learning curve but I'm figuring it out .
I downloaded postfix-2.0.18-1-rh73.i386.rpm from the Postfix site. I was able to follow the instructions in the install file but when I try to run 'make install' , It just tells me to 'Please review the INSTALL instructions first."
Could someone Please talk me through this?

Thanks

If you have rpm package, you just need to run command rpm -ivh NameOfThePackage
in your case it will be: rpm -ivh postfix-2.0.18-1-rh73.i386.rpm
