Ati Mobility 9000 drivers??

Im trying to get 3-d support for a dell laptop with a older mobility 9000 graphics. Debian has fglrx drivers in repo but they do not support the card. I believe that is true. Ati stopped supporting windows drivers fro that one long ago..Believe there new drivers only go back as old as the 9550 series stuff. I found older version of fglrx drivers in debian old stable...
http://packages.debian.org/etch/fglrx-driver
Its been a long time since I compiled video drivers for Ati on Linux..Always had hard time at it and never worked..
Im going to download fglrx-source and try to build them..Any go how to to do this??
I know i need to build the kernel module and the driver. But Its been so lobg since I did that i forgot how its done. And like I said i never had luck with it anyway..Compile errors

Well..thanks for the link to ATI's site..lol..But as I said..ATI doesnt support anything under 9600 series...All they will give you is a page with link ti your Laptops page..And Dell doesnt have linux drivers..Hell the windows version is from 2003..So even those are outdated...Last driver that Ati put outt hat supported the 9000 was 8.28.8. But i guess it doesnt matter .From reading this Im stuck with xorg radeon drivers ..
Quote:
The last version of fglrx to support this chipset is 8.28.8 (released 2006-08-18), later versions do not support this chipset anymore. This version is still available for download, but does not support kernels newer then 2.6.17

The open source radeon drivers support 3D acceleration for that GPU. They support nearly 100% of the cards 3D features, even.
