Ater installing Slackware, swap for Ubuntu was corrupted. HELP!!
hey, I wanted to dual-boot Ubuntu and slackware, and use one swap.
Well, I had Ubuntu installed and used installed slackware, and the boot hangs when I try to boot into the latest kernel; it says it's waiting for a UUID = (some random characters I tried to enter a recovery mode for the latest kernel, and I couldn't even log in as root or my log in. Help!! How do I fix this so I can have it act normally? |

The Slack install would have involved a mkswap on that partition - probably unnecessary. This regenerates the UUID - I'm surprised that stalls the boot. When does it fail - at grub or at the mount of fstab entries ?.
Which Ubuntu, and which version of grub ?. |
