ata1: softreset failed (devie not ready) on Fedora 17


Dear All,

Please help for this issue.

Everytime i turn on the laptop, it always appears the message "ata1: softreset failed (Devie not ready)" I use linux fedora 17. Please help and solutions.

The kernel is applying a work around for a controller bug. The work around works so you don't have a problem. Maybe a libata.force kernel option may help.

I wouldn't bother. Hardware and BIOS bugs are common. Note the number of workaround options in the kernel boot parameters.
