at-spi-registryd.desktop
 
i am new to linux - i just installed zorin cuz it said it was the most window like - i keep getting a message when trying to shut down that says "at-spi-registryd.desktop" is still running and can't shut down - is there a fix for this - i need to make this pc experience idiot proof - i don't know much about pc's and everyone in my house knows even less

At-spi-registryd, if I am not mistaken, is only needed if you use a screen reader or assistance applications of some sort. If none of the machine's users need such things, you should simply disable it - search your settings menu for something along the lines of Accessibility/Assistance. Failing that, you should look if there is such entry or any application that might use it, such as Orca screen reader among your Startup Applications.
