at command doesn't work

Hello
my Linux is RHl
I tried to use "at " to schedule a task in Linux Red hat. for example:

at now+2min
>rm -rf core*
> (ctrl+d)

the task is scheduled , but it didn't do anything at the time .
I tried other examples, such as send mail, rm files,
anyway, these test works in Unix , not on Linux ,

Could you help me out ?

i use cron more than at but perhaps you have to give it the /full/path/to/filename ?

cron works, but it is usually used for repeatable tasks at certain time.

I used full path name .
it is not the case .

Thanks ANYWAY.

Have you checked that atd is enabled in whatever run-level you're using? And does "atq" show that the "at" command has actually stored something?

if your atd is running, you can also try

Code:
at now+2min
> set -xv
> exec &>/tmp/at.log
> pwd
> rm -rf core*
> (ctrl+d)
