ASUS Xandros 700 model - Quantum Webcam issue

Hi All,

First of all this is my first post after joining this forum.
I have really poor knowledge of Linux terminal commands and installations.I'm learning and getting used to it.

I have ASUS EEE PC 2GB, which has xandros system. I have a quantum QHM 500LM webcam, I had download the driver from the webcam copany website. The zip file consisted of a windows and Linux folder.

The Linux folder consist for following 4 file:

1. mview
2. vm301.o
3. vm301.sh
4. readme.txt

I referred the readme txt file and it contains the following info:

301+ linux driver for kernel 2.4.25

1. Run the driver: ./vm301.sh

2. Use the camstream to show video: ./mview

Note:
This driver only support 7131r Pas106 mi360 Sensor.

Could you please help and guide me as to how I should install or run the driver ? I need to use the webcam with skype.

Thanks

Kaps

Have you tried on to enter on the command line of a console
./vm301.sh

If you did, what do you see on the screen?
If not, why don't you try - the readme tells you to do it.
