Talking ASUS P4G8X &Mandrake 9.2 SATA installation questions

OK I would like to install Mandrake on my desktop...... I have a
ASUS P4G8X Mother Board with
the followind Hardware on it:

1 Giga Ram
2 x 70 Giaga WD 7200 "normal" HD ( used for storage)

1 RAID set using the SATA with 2x 60gig HD in stripe ( total 120 gig) ( with OS@ the moment w2k )
VIDEO MSI 8894 G4ti4200 AGP8x 128DDR

the MB has on board Gigabit LAN usb firewire & audio

I would like help in setting up a second partition on my SATA RAID hd set ,
so that to have a double lilo boot with Mandrake 9.2 and win2k on the same HD,

I would like to know if you could please point me to any problems I might encounter, I do not want to screw this machine up

Thank you all I am having always more fun with the penguin, my Laptop is nearly tip tap with linux heheheheh

OK here are some test I have tried over the night....

I have tried and put my Mandrake cd in and boot

after the language keyb mouse install I get this Message:

"I CANT READ THE PARTIITION TABLE OF DEVICE hdg ITS TOO CURRUPTED FOR ME I CAN TRY TO GO ON, ERASING OVER BAD PARTITIONS (ALL dATA WILL BE LOST)
THE OTHER SOLUTION IS NOT TO ALLOW DRAKX TO MODIFY THE PARTION TABLE
( THE ERROR IS UNKNOWN PARTITION TABLE ON DISK /DEV/HDG

options available are:

do you agree to loose all data?
here I said NO....
when I get to the partiton manager I see all of my HD, I have created empty space with partiion magic on my C:\ with partition magic ( which is the RAID STRIPE SATA set)
I see this device but I cant create a swap/root partion on it I get this Message:
you cant create partion since you reached the max number of partions,

After this I have tried to create using partition magic the LUNIX partitions to see if the mandrake installer sees them so I have created on the RAID set the following SWAP/ROOT partitions, they are marked in the following way by partition magik:

they are both non active and primary is this correct or the have to be logical...... and active......

Thank you a Newbie whos tring his best to get linux on his desktop
Thanks
