Still nothing

It's just that I can't find driver for KT600.

That chipset should work out of the box:

Which drivers ? As jay73 said you shouldn't need chipset driver. Do you have a problem with something not working ?

Mic

My mic is not working.

jay73 11-04-2007 10:09 AM

Have you tried adjusting the system settings? Microphone may simply be muted . And as long as you get sound, you don't need any drivers. Sound/mic = one driver.

So how I can I unmute it.

I don't know. It would be helpful if you could give a few details. Which distro? Which desktop, Gnome or KDE?

Gutsy(GNOME).
And what's with the signature?

Click on the sound icon on your top bar, it's in the top right corner near the clock and it will open a slider. The idea is that you right-click on it and select "Open Volume Control", then you select the second tab ("Recording"), which has a series of sliders that control sound input.

Never mind, that was meant to be a joke but apparently it's very confusing to newer members so I may have to come up with something different. If you look around on these forums, you'll find that some members use a "signature", which is some text that appears in all their posts. Some use it to list useful links, others to store their motto or some quotes. So I thought, let's pretend that mine was stolen, that sounded original or at least different from what most people use in their signature. Do you see what I mean?
