(ASK) create mail server --slakcware in vmware --


hi, I Ghaust and I am still newbe in linux. . .
today I want to create a mail server but is only limited to the LAN, in this case I am using slackware in vmware, i have installed apache, sql, and php
what else is needed to mail server I can run smoothly

Hi, welcome to LQ!

For a 'mailserver' you don't need apache, mysql or PHP.

sendmail (also comes with Slack by default) will do just fine.

Because they're not directly related to "mail". If you need/want to
have something with a web-interface that's a different story, but
you didn't specify that.

You don't need to - it comes with Slackware
