ASCII mode in Xwindow...
 
Hello, this my first post and I have this question, I expect than help me, please.

Exist any way to configure the ASCII mode (pressing key Alt + XXX) in Xwindow?? this is possible in text mode but I don't found any doc than explain how configure.

What do you mean by configure the ASCII mode???
Do you mean switching to a text console? In text mode this is done with ALT Fx but in xwindows you will have to press CTRL ALT Fx.

Mik, I believe what he is referring to is when you are in MS windows and you hold down the ALT key and then press the number keys on the keypad. When you release the ALT key, it prints a character that you can't type from the keyboard. He wants to know how to do that in linux X window. I don't know how to do that.
