arpack library
Hello gentlemen,
My system is Linux Mandrake 9.2. I have downloaded four arpack rpm-files of arpack library developed for Red Hat Enterprise. Should this library work at Mandrake platform? Or should I install the ARPACK package correcting the ARmake.inc puzzle? Thank you. |
Welcome to LQ.
May work, if they are old enough. Mandrake 9.2 has glibc-2.3.2. RH EL 4 has version 2.3.5, packages should probably be older than that. Try installing, they will only be rejected, if no fit. And if they don't work : easy to remove. The ARmake.inc puzzle is tricky, I prefer # rpmbuild, the sources are here http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu.../source/SRPMS/ arpack-2.1-7.fc9.src.rpm > > will build arpack-2.1-7.i586.rpm, arpack-devel.... ( 1 minute with # rpmbuild -bb arpack.spec ) The required dependency : lapack-3.1.1-3.fc9.src.rpm > > will build : blas, blas-devel, lapack, lapack-devel, with # rpmbuild -bb lapack.spec ( Or the old # rpm --rebuild ... ? ) .... |
